CopyPressers: What it Takes and Why You Should Be One

In case you haven’t heard, CopyPress is hiring in our fast growing Connections department. Read on to find out why being a CopyPresser is the bee’s knees.

ryan1What does it take to be a CopyPresser?

Hard Work

This is pretty much a given. In our connections department if you cannot hit your required output this position will not last long. Connections is a very goal oriented, numbers based, deadline crazy job. Athletes have excelled at this position.

Team Mentality

Our connections department is made up of teams of five. Each team has a team lead that is responsible for assisting everyone else in order to keep them focused and maintain their goals. All team members are required to work collectively in and outside of their teams to assist everyone in reaching their goals.

Creativity

When outreaching to bloggers it’s important that you don’t sound like a robot and spam the entire Internet with templated emails. This is where creativity comes into play. Make your emails shine by showing off that personality. If you are good with words and convincing others to do something on your behalf, this might be the job for you.

Goal Setting

Deadlines and priorities often change so you’ll need to be ready to move when told to move. This is a great position for someone who loves accomplishing goals and hitting their marks each and every day.

What are the perks of being a CopyPresser?

Beer is the Drink of Choice

Every Friday at 3 pm beer is served. No really, we like to reward our hard workers for crushing it Monday through Friday by ending the week with a cold one.

ryan2Food, Food, and More Food

Here at CopyPress we like to eat, a lot. Whether you like sweet, salty or healthy- we got it. We stock up weekly with a wide variety of fruit and pretzels and end the week with catered lunches on Friday. Fellow coworkers also love to bring in baked goods that tend to go fast.

Dress Code, What Dress Code?

When the CEO sports sandals with socks and sweats you know you’ve arrived at a comfortable work environment. At CopyPress you’ll see anything from pajamas to tank tops to business suits. As long as you keep it clean and appropriate your attire is welcomed with open arms.

Flexible Schedule

Are you an early bird or a later riser? Either way you’ll fit in. CopyPressers are expected to get in anywhere from 8-10 am Monday-Friday. This allows the employees who despise mornings to have a little extra time to adjust to the world or people who live a little farther enough time to beat the traffic.

Culture

Culture is a very important part of CopyPress. After all, we spend a lot of time here and we should like the place and people we work with. Fitting our culture doesn’t mean that you’re cool, funny or good looking– it means that you share and believe in our values.

ryan7Growth

Our CEO, Dave, is passionate about helping people grow professionally. Many of our managers started out entry level and have been able to grow their skills and move up in the company. I started in September 2010 as an administrative assistant and after almost three years I’ve been able to work several different positions and am now in a management role. The key here is to work hard and you’ll be rewarded.
