A video is a great way to market a product because it provides a visual and audible stimulus to the potential customer. We are in a society where people almost expect to see videos on a web page as they are engaging, entertaining and informative all at once.

There are different types of video that a company can create and incorporate with their brand. These are customer testimonials, explainer or tutorial videos and demonstration videos. All of these types, especially the latter two, are the sort things that people would watch just for enjoyment. This is the sort of content that good content marketing strives for, the type where potential customers will willingly choose to watch the video and enjoy it. Even if a sale is not made straight away, the customer is made aware of the brand and may make a purchase at a later date.
Once the video has been made however, the job is not complete. Although some people my stumble across the video just by browsing through the internet, one of the biggest job is promoting the video and getting it out there. Some companies choose to do this by email or social media. Both of these work well and should be chosen based on the target audience.
