It seems that everyone has been talking about the recent iOS 6 update for iPhone users, which unveiled Apple’s new alternative to Google Maps – Apple Maps. Just some of the major fails of the new app (so far) include: bad (faulty/outdated/incorrect) directions, distorted cartography, incorrect business address listings, missing national landmarks, and a few bridges.
We were amused by the App icon itself, which displays a guided route directing the user to drive off an overpass.
Do you think the Apple Maps App is as big of a failure as everyone on Twitter claims? Do you think social media has exaggerated the situation? Have you personally dealt with faulty directions from the new app? Could you care less?
